Zenner was founded in Germany in 1962 to give hair accessories their well-earned place on shop shelves. Not for nothing is "As long as your hair sits well" a well-known Dutch saying: if your hair sits well, you feel good. Rudolf Zenner introduced the rack jobbing concept, where the supplier was responsible for shelf management in the shop. And that meant more focus on the hair accessory as a fashionable as well as user-friendly fashion item.

This successful concept also gained a foothold in the Netherlands in 1978, and from 1987 Zenner can also be found in shops in Austria, Poland and Hungary. Zenner made its biggest growth from 2002, when it became an international company with outlets in Belgium, Germany, Surinam, Curaçao, Latvia, Lithuania and exports to Poland, Hungary, Croatia and Slovenia.
